Oh Christ

Charlie Hall wrote some beautiful lyrics that have haunted my heart. The theme echos though, Christ, please, be the center of My life.

Seek Him.

Women as Black Holes: On *omited*, *omited*, and *omited*

So I had a conversation over Christmas Break that turned interesting very quickly. It wasn't a filthy conversation, but is wasn't one that 10 year-old grade schoolers are allowed in on. In short, Myself and a couple other un-named friends (a guy and 2 girls) started a conversation about female proportionality regarding phsysique and ended up with the conclusion that women, are indeed, black holes.

Chaos ensued.

I know, how do you get from a healthy discussion about the struggle that ladies have in society today (pressure to be skinny, small, charming, beautiful, attractive, etc) to the conclusion that they are a metaphorical black hole?

I am not a male chauvinist pig. I am merely a mind cracking the mystery of the universe known as the female mind.

Or sorta.

Think about it. You have a common guy, lets call him Orswald. You have a normal girl, lets call her Em. Orswald likes Em, and Em likes Orswald.

STOP!!!

Before you continue to read, I suggest that you review the seduction of Samson in Judges 16 or the domestication of Enkidu by the temple prostitue. What happens?

In short, mighty man gets whooped by hot chick.

Well, I don't know if they were hot or not (and that doesn't really matter for the discussion either, so quit thinking about it). The point is, you have a really, really, really strong guy who was killing hundreds of men without thinking about it and he was sucked into a trap by Cher. The same with Enkidu. He was crafted by the gods; there was no rival. What happened? Basically they took a lady to him, and after a mass of sparks, the guy was civilized and under the lady's control.

So far, ladies=2, big strong guys=0.

Hence (in my own mind at least), the conclusion that women are black holes. You see my misunderstood little green friends, there is a common theme between the two stories. Charm. Seduction. Sex-appeal. Promise of something more. Emotional fishing. Spades.

The men in our examples today, one not-so-fiction and the other fiction, were both sucked into the charm of a women. They saw her, encountered her, and she sucked them in. At the end she had the power, his life and even hair in her hands. On some levels this disturbs me, on others, it amazes me.

Women have an incredible power than men do not. They may not kill their hundreds in the conventional manner with a club or hacky-sac, but they can seduce the thousands without thinking about it. Oh sometimes they have to work harder at it, but the power of promise of something the guy does not have but wants and really needs is in their grasp. They have the potential to suck the guys in, never to release them or even let light escape. Yeah, that is what black holes are like, not even the speed of light can escape the genius.

Incredible.

That concludes our argument on Women as Black Holes. The omited portions of the title are probably none of your business. Sides, I can only remember 2 of the 3 omisions and my little sis would prob kill me if I put them here.

Ok, now comes the disclaimer with the fine print. (The views and opinions expressed in this blog are not intended to be taken as absolute or factual, but are rather a reference to be used in attempting to grasp an inkling of the female psyche. In all actuality, I have the utmost respect for the women and consider her to be an amazing creation of God's hand. I think that God has given men a strength (most commonly physical) that is not necessarily present in women, rather He has blessed them with the ability to use their influence and charm to sway said strength. In some respects, without wanting to even hint at any convictions of chauvinism or sexism, women are black holes that suck guys in with little hope of escape. Once she has the guy in her charm, it is hard for him to escape. Sometimes, he doesn't want to, and nor should he.

In a word, laugh. )

Make sense? I hope that you were amused, cause I know that we were. The conversation got weirder and weirder as the night went on. We ended up making references to spaceships and other inuendo that were inflicted by fatigue and too many brain cells.

Sometimes though, you have to wonder how the life is sucked out of you.

PS - Did you notice how Orswald and Em disappeared in the explaination? Black holes, I am telling you. Who knows, maybe they will escape and make it our into another story sometime. They have a whole love story you know....
